If you are arriving from Europe most likely you will be landing in the Bali airport before your Eastbound journey to Komodo. lthough there is so much to see and do, many of our divers opt for a few days of Bali diving before Komodo.
The diversity of Bali diving destinations truly deserves its own mention. Shipwrecks, drop-offs, sandy slopes, black volcanic seascapes, roaring currents and calm quiet bays… there is something for everyone.
Komodo island: with its wild and arid landscapes above water and its spectacular marine riches below – is one of the most sought after dive and travel destinations in Asia. It is well known as the Island of Dragons, the only place in the world where you can meet the famous Komodo dragons. This emerald colored archipelago hosts a wide array of pristine coral reefs, large pelagics and some of the world’s strangest underwater critters. Sightings of manta rays, mobulas and eagle rays never fail to thrill even the most seasoned diver. Curious grey sharks, mackerel, tuna, giant trevally and barracuda are often seen circling divers that board the boat to experience the best of Komodo Liveaboard Diving.
Sailing adventure Lombok & Beyond is a well balanced journey, combining luxury cruising with exciting land excursions, water sports and diving. Our first stop after the passage of the Lombok Strait is a well protected anchorage at Gili Trawangan, the largest of three small islands located to the northwest of Lombok. Here, we will enjoy a romantic dinner under the stars. The next day is reserved for exploration of the Gili Islands, water sports and scuba diving in the fish teeming waters surrounding the Gilis. Early next morning we will sail to Lombok, where our land excursion begins.
Moyo & Satonda
Sailing cruise Moyo & Satonda takes you from Bali along the south-eastern shore line to Lombok, crossing the deep water Lombok Strait. After sailing along the northern coastline of Lombok offering spectacular views of Mount Rinjani, you will reach Moyo island early next morning. The two small islands of Moyo and Satonda, sit just off the northern coast of Sumbawa.
Komodo & Rinca
Sailing cruise Komodo & Rinca takes you on a 10 night voyage back in time. Starting from Serangan, you will be sailing along the eastern coastline of Bali, allowing spectacular views of the towering volcanoes on the “Island of the Gods”, as Bali is often called. Passing through the Lombok Strait, a deep water way between Bali and Lombok, you will reach the Gili Islands to the northwest of Lombok, your first stop. The liveaboard diving cruise will anchor here overnight in a protected bay, close to Trawangan Island, the largest of the Gili Islands. You will enjoy a gourmet alfresco dinner under the star-lit evening skies…
Sumba, Savu & Rote
Sailing Cruise Sumba, Savu & Rote takes you on an exclusive adventure to these two rarely visited islands. Due to their remote location, Sumba & Savu have only a limited flight schedule from Bali. Both islands are known for their beautiful ikat fabrics, excessive and extravagant funerals, and on Sumba, the annual Pasola, a ritual war game on horseback. The Sumbanese are an animist culture living among ancient megaliths.
