Itinerary
5 days / 4 nights Komodo National Park cruise
Day 1: Your cruise adventure begins. Either you fly this morning to Flores and we pick you up from the airport or you have stayed in a hotel already, so we pick you up from there then.
Welcome aboard! Enjoy a refreshing drink, get settled, meet the other cruising guests and it’s time for you to relax and enjoy the start of your well-deserved cruising holiday aboard our boat. We will give you detailed information about the facilities of the vessel as well as procedures regarding trip program, safety and diving / water sports operations. We are normally able to do one afternoon (check) dive and another sunset / night dive. Very likely we head to the Sabayor Island group for this.
Dives: Afternoon, night dive. Meals provided: Lunch, Snack, Dinner
Day 2: Your first full day aboard. We will offer a first breakfast starting at 6:00 followed by a dive. This could be a highlight dive at Crystal Rock. Second warm breakfast will follow at around 8:30 and then we go diving again before lunch. Possibly this is another Komodo signature dive site: Castle Rock. Both dive sites are underwater pinnacle and with the right current they are simply spectacular! What can you see? Well, anything’s possible and very likely it’s big action. Third dive will be around 14:30 and sunset / night dive around 6:30 and both might be in the area of Gili Lawat Darat / Laut.
Dives: Early morning, morning, afternoon, night dive. Meals provided: Breakfast I, Breakfast II, Lunch, Snack, Dinner
Day 3: We move on and head a bit south to another signature area of the Komodo national park: the channel between Komodo Islandand Rinca Island. Dive sites might be one of the best wall / drift dives here: Batu Bolong / Current City. Stunning wall fully covered with hard & soft corals and some cracks, u/w pinnacles. Again, you might see everything! Reef fishes en masse with action at the current edges. If current is right you leave the wall and follow the reef slope down south and enjoy a ride of your life! Other dive sites today might be Tatawa Kecil / Besar and Manta Point at Makassar Reef.
Dives: Early morning, morning, afternoon, night dive. Meals provided: Breakfast I, Breakfast II, Lunch, Snack, Dinner
Day 4: We might head down south this morning to the island of Padar. Here are excellent dive sites, too. All offer stunning underwater topography and rich marine life from the small to the big ones. Also let’s head over to an untouched beach, experience pure paradise feeling! We also ensure for our cruising guests that they can snorkel and go for a swim at colorful reefs and get to see some of the underwater wonders of the Komodo Nationalpark.
Dives: Early morning, morning, afternoon, night dive. Meals provided: Breakfast I, Breakfast II, Lunch, Snack, Dinner
Day 5: Our captain and cruise director will check when we can visit the Ranger station on Rinca Island to go for a 1-2h “Dragon Walk” to see the last representative of the Jurassic Park on earth, the world-famous Komodo Lizard. We will probably also do two dives today. This depends on your flight the next day. You should definitely check out Wainilu. It’s one excellent muck dive site which offers incredible, weird and rare critters underwater such as flying gurnards, picturesque dragonets, frog fish, (ornate) ghost pipefish and many, many more. Don’t miss this (different) dive. At sunset we have our last dinner together and we will get you to see one more fascinating nature spectacle.
Dives: (2x) morning. Meals provided: Breakfast I + II, Lunch, Snack, Dinner
Day 6: After a full big breakfast I+II it’s time to say good bye. We will bring you to the airport or hotel in LBJ.
