Short description

The name of this vessel literally means «the lands beneath the wind», a derivative of the Persian term «Zirbâded». This name was given by the sailors and explorers trading Asian spices to the islands in South East Asia between Malaysia and Papua. The boat was built in Sulawesi and launched in 2010. Inspired by the design of traditional Indonesian fishing boats (lambo rig). She is a beautiful 18-meter vessel made of tropical wood and is light and fast. Her shallow draught allows her to get very close to shore. It is a pleasant boat, devoted to adventures and adventurers. She has already sailed most of South East Indonesia seas and is always seeking for new amazing sites on land and at sea.

This liveaboard boat follows the seasons from East to West and West to East between Gillis and Timor sailing through Flores and Sumba.

The shared cabin which can accommodate 6 people (2 double beds and 2 single beds) has a roof with windows which afford guests a view of the stars. The fore and aft living spaces are great areas to chill out while enjoying the ocean. There is also a 20m2 sun-deck, detached gallery, WC and shower, 2 beds for crew in the engine/kitchen room.

Itinerary

During the East Monsoon, June to September, the vessel sails principally around North Sulawesi, in Bangka archipelago and Bunaken national park.

The months of April-May and October-November make the transition between monsoons and get lights winds perfect to explore the archipelago of Sanghie and Talaud in the wild and beautiful north of Indonesia close to the Philippine border.

During the west monsoon it sails cross the north Maluku, around Almahera to the Raja Ampat archipelago.
